Types of Reproduction

In this live-action program viewers will learn from a biological standpoint, the only point of reproduction is to transmit DNA from one generation to the next. Students will come to understand that organisms reproduce in two ways: asexual and sexual reproduction. They will discover that asexual reproduction generates offspring with only one parent and sexual reproduction generates offspring by combining DNA from two parents. The program discusses the advantages and disadvantages of asexual or sexual reproduction from an evolutionary perspective.
