Real World Systems of Linear Equations

In this short math video we will solve a standardized math test question where we are asked to write and solve a real world system of linear equations. We will write two equations to model the given real world situation. We will identify that one variable has the same coefficient in each equation and use elimination to solve for each unknown. We will subtract one equation from the other. We will use the solution and value of the first variable to solve for the second. We will answer the question using our values. An exemplar solution is modeled.
